03/25/2008 Do you know what is lurking in your’s and your pet’s vitamins?
The technical and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) of most man-made vitamins reveal a host of added ingredients that are not declared on most vitamin packaging or pet food ingredient panels. These ingredients are mostly preservatives and processing aids. Man-made fat soluble vitamins are very volatile and most are often preserved with BHT. Others include, but are not limited to, rice hulls and corn cob as carriers, and sodium aluminum as an anti-caking agent. Other processing aids identified are mineral oil, sucrose, rice or soy proteins, and modified starch.
