Ingredient Spotlight – Meat Meals
The protein-packed power source for your pet
In nature, dogs and cats are meat-eating predators, called carnivores. Because meat is an important component of your favorite resident carnivore’s diet, Nature’s Logic 100% natural foods are rich in protein from high-quality beef, chicken, duck, lamb, pork, fish, venison, or rabbit.
Nature’s Logic kibble contains protein sources made from meals. A “meal” is simply a dehydrated powder form of the protein used to create it. The meals in Nature’s Logic diets come from high-quality animal protein sources, from lean muscle meat, which may contain skin and bone for calcium and other nutrients, but do NOT contain internal organs, feathers, feet, heads, etc.
However, not all meals are created equal. A good rule of thumb with regard to meals: the more specific the name of the meal (i.e. chicken meal), the more likely it will be a quality meal. Ingredients like “meat meal,” or “soybean meal,” “poultry meal,” or “poultry by‐product meal” likely include sub-par ingredients that may be hard for your pet to digest.
Nature’s Logic is able to provide high protein content in its kibble, without needing to add synthetic amino acids, by using dried meals from the beginning of the food production process. These meals are derived from high-quality proteins and fats obtained primarily from animal sources, just as dogs and cats would naturally consume in the wild.
Premium meals can be terrific, safe sources of protein for your pets and, combined with carefully selected plant ingredients, work together to naturally provide the essential nutrition your pet needs to thrive!
